Ollie’s 7th birthday today and so we phoned him first thing. They had a days holiday from school, last day of half term, so were going to the zoo for the day and having fireworks in the evening.
We went for a walk along Lapta walkway and then on to the Wild Duck. Violet loved it there with all the play things, climbing frames and paddling pool. We had lunch there, a bit of a disaster like last time. Tris asked if they had vegetarian meals, yes, they had vegetarian mousaka, which he ordered and paid for. Quite a time later they came out to tell us that they didn’t have any! He ended up having an omelette, there was no other choice. They have the most gorgeous golden retriever who escaped through the gate and came and sat with us, I was very tempted to bring her home!!! There were also several of our neighbours from Malatya in there.
We had a power cut in the evening which Violet found exciting.
