Well, it certainly rained a lot during the night! We caught the bus into Broadstairs and went to the Broadstairs Food Festival, funny that I always seemed to lose Mal around the real ale and cider tasting stalls! The sun came out and it was a lovely day. Manyhoots Owl rescue was there too.
From the festival we decided to walk up to the High Street and go into Marley’s for some lunch, supposed to be a light lunch after all our tastings but it was huge. Very nice though.
On the way there we heard someone hammering on another restaurant window at us. It was Debbie, Mal’s sister, so we popped in to see her and she asked us over for Sunday lunch!
The rain returned in the evening.
Thought for the Day – October gave a party; The leaves by hundreds came – The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples, And leaves of every name. The Sunshine spread a carpet, And everything was grand, Miss Weather led the dancing, Professor Wind the band.
