I transplanted some more herbs into the garden and then spent a lot of the day bargain hunting for the new website see link.
Christmas is coming and some of the shops have their Christmas deals in already. I also managed to find some good breaks away for people in the UK including one for a Christmas market in Budapest.
In the evening we decided to go out for something to eat but didn’t feel up to a huge meal. So, we drove to the Red Lion only to discover that they don’t do food on Tuesday or Thursday nights! Typical. We started driving towards home and then remembered that there is a new restaurant/cafe which is part of Nature garden centre. The tables are set out on a lawn and a little back from the main road so it was quiet there with good music playing in the background. It’s quite a simple menu and the prices vary from 10-17tl . An Efes is 5tl and I had a really good brandy sour for 5tl. We both decided on the fish and chips (12tl each) but had to giggle when the meal arrived as they served croquet potatoes and not chips at all! For 12 tl we certainly weren’t going to complain. There were some musicians there who we were told were going to have a practice later as they are performing there every Thursday evening. They are open every day from 10.30 in the morning until 1.00 the following morning.
I liked their salt and pepper pots too!
Thought for the Day – “Everyone believes that the main aim in life is to follow a plan. They accumulate experiences, experiences, memories, things and other people’s ideas and it is more than they can possibly cope with. And that is why they forget their dreams……” ~ Paulo Coelho
