Another day resting my arm and my back. I think Mal has discovered a womans work is never done (because she doesn’t get up early enough). Meanwhile I have caught up on watching all my downloaded TV programmes!

Mal did the ironing, he is improving as I have always told him, practise…

I have been trying to sort out Christmas presents, in other words which ones I have not yet ordered. A good thing that I bought a lot of them when we were back in the UK in October. I think companies in the UK are panicking as I am getting endless emails for absolute bargains. Some things I have ordered through TopCashback and so far I have earnt over £100… for nothing! Torin and the twins came on the webcam in the evening, it was lovely seeing them. Scarlet had found all Torin’s hats and was putting them all on. It was difficult to get a video clip of Jack who doesn’t keep still for long but I managed to get one of Torin and Scarlet.

I woke very early again. Mal took Rosie out for a long walk, which she needed after being trapped in with me. Thankfully Mal took over all the chores including all the cooking, phew what a relief. This is certainly taking a long time. Having said that though he was exhausted from all the travelling, eating large meals with two good hands and two intensive days of meetings.

Mal fitted a new rope to seal the log burner and we had our first fire, it was very cosy and of course Rosie plonked herself down right in front of it.

At last, I slept until 5am in the morning! Result! But I woke up with a pain in my arm again. Another pain killer.  The sun was out but the temperature dropped overnight. 12 degrees outside when I woke up. Well, I suppose the good weather couldn’t last forever.

Mal arrived back home about 10 at night, David kindly met him at the airport. I was so pleased to see him so that I wouldn’t have to struggle on my own. He also bought some goodies back with him.

6 Dec 2010

I woke at 1.00am but managed to get back to sleep, then again at 4am with the thunder and lightning and I had left my sling off overnight…ouch, my arm hurt! Another pain killer. We had a lot of rain, which we need.

Mal called before he went down for his enormous breakfast.

Bev and Gary called to see if I needed anything but I seem to have all I need.

Mal rang again in the evening, had made it back from Warwick Uni to Torin’s where he stayed for the night. He had to text me as the internet went down.

The hunters were out again at 6am. I had been up since 4.45. I ended up, once I got in a fairly comfortable position, watching National Geographic followed by the hammers game… oh dear, they lost.

I did take my sling off for an hour in the morning so I could start moving my arm…..ouch…..yavvas, yavvas!

Mal is having excellent food at Warwick Uni, large cooked breakfast, 3 course lunch and 3 course dinner! Better than me my menu is seriously restricted one handed. But he is working hard.

I was so bored, there is only so much tv you can watch, I can’t get comfortable outside in the sun. today I watched cesar Milan, the dog whisperer, learnt all about gilado monkeys and reticulated pythons in asia.

Mal was up at 5am. I was awake anyway; I seem to be getting very little sleep as I can’t get comfortable being propped up. David kindly ran Mal to the airport. His flight was on time and his journey to Warwick Uni was not at all bad. Meanwhile I just pottered around one handed, frustrated I couldn’t do anything. It was nice of Mal to get all the shopping for me and all the fresh veg but how on earth he imagined I could prepare then one handed, I don’t know. I resorted to frozen veg.
