Some of the snow had disappeared by the time I got ready to leave in the morning but north Kent was not so good as I drove through on my way to Stansted. I met Jill at the airport and we managed to get two seats with leg room. Not surprising as the plane was half empty. No wonder CTA are losing money.
We took off from Stansted precisely on time, snow or not, the first time in a long while it was on time. Coming down in Antlaya I thought my head was going to explode, with the cold and larangytis, it was awful and the pain was excrutiating. I don’t know whether something had happened to the pressure as Jill said she felt bad too. Then for some reason we were late leaving Antalya. At least the air felt warm as we got off the plane at Ercan, a relief after all the cold ice and snow of the UcK. By the time Jill and I had stopped at Ileli to get some milk it was well after midnight when we got home. It had been a very long day.
