Sunday 21st January 2024

We had to take our cases to the coach at 7.30 and then on to breakfast. There were 7 coachloads leaving and so the queue for breakfast was horrendous…bad planning! It wasn’t actually breakfast, it was being checked in, we already knew our table numbers and I can’t believe anyone would walk in off the street at that time of the morning, so a pointless exercise. Good thing it wasn’t raining!

Thankfully our ferry was 9.05 as storms were on their way! It was just getting a little swirly as we left.  We made good time considering the drop offs and stops. Pam’s husband Brian said he would pick us up, being a Hammers supporter “after the game”, we said if we were early we would go and have a coffee. However he text to say he would be there on time as Hammers were playing “crap”!! So, he was there as we arrived and dropped me off home. Of course the game was on, Mal was watching, so they stayed to watch the end. Two men glued to the football….yes how they had missed us! Lol!!

Chatting after the game, we discovered Mal had taught their son, way back when!
