I booked a taxi to Westwood Cross and met Pam and the coach at 7am. Our driver was Gareth, we have had him before and he really is a nice guy. A few pick ups on the way and then we arrived at the ferry, heading for Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight . We sat outside, looking at the Needles in the distance.
We then drove on to Warners Norton Grange Hotel. We had a really nice Garden room, with it’s own sitting room.

There was a very nice three course dinner. We ordered a bottle of wine. It didn’t arrive, so our waitress went and to fetch us one. The bottom line of this was that we had one bottle and were charged for two! We knew this because you have to register your card on arrival and money is taken automatically. So we checked with reception next day and yes they charged us for two. The reason we checked? Mal and I have stayed here before and checked our bill on leaving and 4 more drinks had been added which we had not had! We did have this amended eventually. Coincidence or what?
In the evening in the ballroom we were entertained by Herman’s Hermits (minus Peter Noone, who left years ago ) but they were good to listen to.

Rather a traumatic day for Pam as after almost a year of backwards and forward from the hospital for her dad, having found him a room in a care home, they decided to move him this day!! It would have been OK at 10am as they said but after many phone calls from Pam it actually happened at 8PM on a cold winters night!
