Red Hatter meet up at lunchtime at Fields Cafe in Birchington.  Everyone is in favour of Hatters continuing but no one wants to be Queen. We were all at separate tables so not easy to discuss things. Julie suggested we meet up again before the next lunch to see where we go from here. Maybe a committee and a Queen in name only to register with the Hatter Society.  Our registration runs out in September.

It was nice to see everyone.

Mal’s first birthday present (for tomorrow) was a night out in Canterbury watching Kevin Clifton in Strictly Ballroom. We sat in the auditorium for half an hour after what should have been the start time. They finally announced there would be a delayed start. Another half an hour with everyone just sitting there waiting and the stage manager came on to announce that “owing to technical problems” the show was cancelled.  So, a completely wasted trip into Canterbury, extortionate car parking fee just to come back home again and it was raining.

I hope Mal enjoys the rest of his presents more than this one!
