So much for Ellie’s shower last night to get her nice and clean. Down to the beach and straight into the sea! But she loves it and just runs and runs. She loves the wind in her ears and it certainly was windy, the outside furniture had all blown down on our terrace!
We packed up and stopped off at Rye Harbour on the way back home. There was a snack bar we were going to stop at but it was closed as a lot of places are on Monday. Instead we headed for Romney where we knew the Warren pub would be open. We had a very good lunch there. Mal’s half a shoulder of lamb was huge!!!
Really nice people who made such a fuss of Ellie. We sat in there for quite a long time and then decided we would go across the road and book a few days in September in another lodge at Marlie. If you book within 14 days of the last holiday, we get a good discount.
What we couldn’t believe was that it was sunny all the way home!
The workmen were out working on the garden. They had missed quite a few days because of bad weather.
