Mal had planned us a circular walk to Millendreath beach. We took the dogs with us. Ellie enjoyed a paddle.
We had a nice brisk walk to the beach but as we left the weather became hotter and it was then we realised that there was a lot of very steep steps and hills to climb to get back to Looe. It was a killer and even going down one very steep hill, Ellie just stopped and couldn’t go any further. She had enough bless her. Yes, we had her travel bowl and water and she had drinks but I think physically she had enough. We told the others to go on and we would catch up when she had a rest (and us!!) When they arrived in Looe, they phoned and asked if we would like Cornish pasties (highly recommended) and also told us that Looe was manic, I quote “far worse than Whitstable on a weekend”!!
We met up with them when we had rested and said to go ahead looking around and we would go for a coffee. The next phone call we had was Rhys saying they had taken a taxi back to the caravan park as it was too far and too hilly to walk (and they are all fit!) The idea was Lou to get her car and pick us up but having returned realised that I had the caravan key. BUT the lady who drove their taxi allowed dogs and they gave us her phone number. Luckily she was back on the rank, so we too had a taxi back with her. What a walk. I think it was then we realised as much as we liked walking nowhere around where we were staying was flat!!
We had dinner in the caravan and then went into the entertainment and of course the bingo!
