I took Ellie out early and later we all walked round the town and had Sunday lunch at Charlie’s Bistro.
But after all this good weather, it started to rain! After lunch we did a pub crawl around Sandwich. That was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the rain. One of the pubs, the Mermaids locker, we asked for G&T’s. They had no ice so we said forget it, we’ll have wine. Neither of us had tasted such weak sickly wine and it was £6.50 a glass. Paula and I left most of it and just before we moved on to the next pub, Mal said to the landlord “Can you show me the bottle of wine you used so we know never to order that again!” We left. I have a feeling we won’t be going back to that one!
