It rained quite a lot overnight so we waited a little later to go for a walk around the orchards. Really, so many apples just dumped!
Autumn colours all around us and still the rabbits are running round.
As we were walking around we heard a really high pitched squeal and realised Ellie had a weasel (or a stoat) in her mouth. We think it nipped her as she kept licking her lips. She dropped it and it did look a little stunned but we made her leave it, poor thing.
Mal then went to his allotment to bring more goodies back and do some digging.
Meanwhile we have a lot of quince on the tree in the garden, so time to poach them! I love having all this fresh produce.
We ate some of the quince after dinner and they were so good having been poached with a cinamon stick and vanilla.
