Thursday 6th March 2025

Our walk was in the park in Ramsgate, just above the sea.

What a lovely day. Mal carried on painting and I went to the hairdressers.

Crufts has started. I really must go again one year. I used to go every year when Mal was in Birmingham for his exam meetings and I would go off to Crufts! Today the whippet won the hound group.

At least they are all pure breeds and not mongrels like cockapoos!

Another disappointing Spurs game! Oh dear. Maybe the second leg will be better.

Tuesday 4th March 2025

It was very cold first thing but the sun soon appeared. We walked Ellie in the fields in Eastry.

And from there, we went to the vets for Ellie’s vaccinations and her 6 monthly full check up. We saw Sorrel who I have to say is our favourite vet.  She checked Ellie over very thoroughly, eyes, ears, heart, everything and told us everything is great. We were so pleased. She then gave her vaccinations including kennel cough. All of this is included in their “Complete Care Club” , well worth it. Ellie’s weight was also down a little again at 27.1kg so we came out of there very, very happy! Apart from Ellie as the kennel cough goes up her nose but Sorrel did remark she was the calmest dog she has treated and did give her a treat after.

Eastry is on the way to Dover and so we continued and bought some more wall paint as Mal used a lot of what we had the previous day.

Monday 3rd March 2025

Today is Scarlet and Jack’s 16th birthday. I sent Scarlet a message and she replied thank you. She said her present was beautiful, bless her.

Work for the day at Cancer Research, we were not very busy at all, mainly due to them closing the road down for gas works.

Sunday 2nd March 2025

We walked over the field, thinking it may have dried out a bit…….no, more muddy boots and doggy feet!

I then drove to Westwood as two lampshades that I ordered from M&S were ready for collection. The box was huge so I struggled back to the car. It wasn’t heavy just awkward.

Mal cooked a roast and I started the huge clean after all his sanding……..most things covered in dust!!

I have just read the news from Madeira…………………..

“Cristiano Ronaldo’s £61m pound plane LX-GOL is stuck in Manchester Airport after landing last week ! CR7’s private jet stranded in England due to cracked windscreen The Portuguese superstar’s £61 million ($76m) Bombardier Global Express 6500 XRS private jet awaiting maintenance before it can depart.”

WOW!!

We watched the Man U game and they went out on penalties.

Saturday 1st March 2025

We started the day by going to Kearsney Abbey. The windscreen of the car was frozen and it was foggy all the way to Dover. Of course, no matter what the weather, Ellie has to have a paddle.

We stopped at Home Bargains on the way home to buy some things for the garden.  A couple of weeks ago I bought a solar Lantern stake, just one to see what it would look like in the garden. It looked so nice we went back for more. I also went into the garden section to get a couple of bits and it poured with rain!

I bought four of the lanterns and cleared the shelf and so I asked one of the assistants if they had any more. His reply was “Probably but we are not allowed to touch the boxes in the back, come back next week!” Really???! So, they have stock but don’t want to sell it? Unbelievable.

By the time we arrived home the sun was out so I did some sorting out with the new plants in the garden.
