An early morning walk around the orchards. The apricots have all been harvested and the apples are coming on well and will soon be in the crates.

In the afternoon I started a Pilates class. An hour non stop but I enjoyed it.

We decided to go to Dumpton Gap beach and walked along to Ramsgate as the tide was out. Ellie goes crazy on the  beach and runs and runs.  She also managed to find all the puddles and a lovely pool in the rocks. Now the sea water is supposedly “better” maybe we should take her to the beach as much as we used to before Southern Water spoilt it!

A little more gloss painting in the afternoon.

We think Ellie is getting old (12) and because she ran so much in the morning she would be asleep all afternoon but no she has far more energy than we think!  Long may it continue.

Tuesday 6th August 2024

A nice walk with Ellie all around Ramsgate park. Of course again very early before the heat.

A bit more painting skirting boards in the afternoon while Mal was at the allotment.

Today we became GREAT grandparents for the second time! “Little” Torin  and Lizzy announced the birth of Arlo.

Volunteering at Cancer Research again. Very hot in the shop in spite of the fan being on and even worse upstairs where they were steaming clothes.

Jack and I decided the weather was getting to people as some of the customers were very weird and rude!

Saturday 3rd August 2024

Jack was short staffed so I went into work for the day. Not as busy as I expected for a Saturday, so spent some of the day reducing things for the sale.

More knits around Birchington…
