Friday 3rd March 2023

Today is the twins 14th Birthday and we still look forward to the day we will be able to meet up with them again. So many years wasted. We won’t give up and continue to send things to them.

The workmen worked so late last night, they returned this morning to clear up. We left them to it and took Ellie to Kearsney. She went straight in the water as usual.

The only problem with Ellie in the water is that she gets out and then rolls in the mud!

As the workmen weren’t here in the afternoon, I sorted out a lot of the pots they had moved around, some more things to go to the allotment.

Thursday 2nd March 2023

I took Ellie for her long walk around Gazen Salts. I try and give her a long walk as she has no garden at the moment. Mal stayed behind to sort the workmen out as they need access to water and electricity. Our outside water tap is at the front of our house, not the  back!

Later in the morning he went to the allotment with all my dug up bulbs and rose bush and planted them all down there.

We continued going through my old diaries , sorting for the book, we had so many hurdles to surmount, somehow we did it! So many people have their dreams and do nothing about it.

The workmen only left when it was dark. They have been working hard, laying cement for the footings for the walls. Not a good photo as I took it through the door!

Wednesday 1st March 2023

I took Ellie to Minnis Bay and left Mal with the workmen and the digger. They have to dig deep footings before they carry out the brick work. Ellie and I stopped at the shop (Cancer Research) on the way as Jack had put by some really nice curtains for me. It’s the first time he has met Ellie and suggested we had her as a shop dog on Mondays!

Ellie was in her element when we reached the sea and she just ran! She loves it.

It was also such a clear day that I could see Reculver in the distance.

Back home and Mal was doing well keeping the contractors happy with tea, coffee and biscuits.

What a mess. At least the plants and bulbs they have had to move they have put in bags for me. Such a shame, all the bulbs were starting to flower.

In the evening Spurs were playing in the FA cup and on the other side was Man U v Hammers. I have to admit that the Hammers game was far better to watch, so that was our choice. Sadly both our teams lost!
