After Ellie and Roddy’s walk, I went into Deal, just for a wander around the shops.

Mal went to the allotment, so many vegetables again, including some lovely broccoli.

Mal and I both walked the dogs early. Roddy has settled well and knew he’d get his breakfast as soon as we were home. I then went to Westwood. I bought a lot of bulbs for the allotment and the garden. I also bought a basket to put at the front of the house, for more flowers.

Mal went to the allotment and it rained but he did manage to sort some things in one of the sheds, tying up the onions.

We took Ellie along Rope Walk where she met up with her puppy retriever friend. Later we took he over to Goodnestone park. She had a really good time rolling in the cut grass/hay!

We decided to have a drink at The Fitz and then stopped in their garden for lunch. Sadly their roast beef wasn’t brilliant, a bit tough but Ellie enjoyed it!

Back home to watch Hammers, a good game and result! Then Spurs beat the Champions! Yay!!  Looks as though Nuno will be good for them.

Lou and Josie came round in the afternoon to bring Roddy for his holiday while they go on theirs! He soon settles, a walk, food and his basket and he is fine.

A beautiful morning for a walk in the park with Ellie. She had a really good walk, met lots of dogs and just as we were leaving she ran to Alison’s Kiosk tables where someone was eating bacon and I had to drag her away as she was just sitting there looking at them! What a scrounger, often happens with street dogs!

We dropped Ellie off at home because of the heat and we went to the allotment. We have a glut of vegetables, so many beans which we love, some of the onions we have left drying.

Even the grapes are doing well.

We came home when it was too hot but at least Mal barrowed some more wood chips for me.

An early morning swim for Ellie at Westgate Bay. In fact we were so early the cafe wasn’t open. They were putting the tables out but decided it was too much effort to make us a coffee until the official opening time!

Out early with Ellie again but as it was humid, we only went about half the normal distance as she was panting. We did see “greyhound man”, an elderly gent who lost his greyhound but walks every day giving all the other dogs treats. He is going to view another rescue greyhound today. I was pleased to hear that as he was heartbroken losing his other dog.

Down by the river the moorhen chicks are growing well. Two moorhens were having a fight on the river and it really looked as if they were going to drown each other. If they have too many chicks, they are known to drown them occasionally.

I went shopping, busy roads with holidaymakers. I took my car to be cleaned inside and out, long overdue and I couldn’t be bothered to do it myself!

The baby sparrows seem to like sitting on my sunflowers in the garden, I’m hoping they will be enjoying the seed soon.

Mal went to the allotment in the afternoon. All the vegetables for dinner were from the allotment, including the stuffed marrow and so many runner beans, I love them! All followed by blackcurrants and raspberries.

In the evening we watched the last of Clarkson’s Farm. What do we watch now?!

Ellie and I left home at 5.45 for a lovely walk. Surprisingly there are a lot of dog walkers out at that time and so we saw the little goldie and she had a play with him. The seagulls were getting their breakfast on the cricket pitch,doing their dance and bringing the worms to the surface.

We then went on to Gazen Salts.

Lunchtime I went to pick Jackie up and we went to the Jolly Farmer in Manston for lunch and time to sort out Hatters things for the future. We did quite well with a few trips and plans for our Christmas lunch.  We also booked to have our next meeting here as the food was rather good , we resisted desert!
