I went shopping early to try and avoid the crowds.

In the afternoon we watched Spurs. 1-1! Later the Lady lions lost to Germany.

Another lovely day for a dog walk but we met two different people who had both lost their dogs in the last few days. Poor things.

It seemed like a dull day but we are not fairweather dog walkers so we took Ellie in the car and went to Minnis Bay. By the time we left the sun had started coming out.

We had lunch and then went to Wingham Wildlife park We joined for a year again. They  have a new orangutan, Molly but she isn’t in the public view yet as she is still settling in. We watched the Bengal Hybrid tigers being fed.

We also spotted the baby chimp who was being a total pain to his parents and the red panda who doesn’t come down from the trees very often. All the chimps here were rescued from a laboratory in the US.

We had a lovely walk in the sun. I was supposed to have met Rhys for lunch but his filling fell out and so he had to go to the dentist. At least he was able to get it sorted.

We took Ellie out and then we went to Westwood. We were on the hunt for new sofa/ chairs or something similar. So many cuddle chairs and corner units and sofas with scatter cushion backs…er no! One shop told us it was 3 months delivery time as all their furniture came from Vietnam!!

By lunchtime we had both had enough and so went to the Hooden Horse for lunch. We did pay one more visit after lunch to Oak Furnitureland. At least we made the decision that it should be very good quality leather because Ellie shares the sofa and also a recliner.

My day at Demelza. Sadly Heather is not at all well and was waiting to be admitted into Margate hospital.

We had a good day and I bought quite a few things, mainly towards Christmas.

Mal and I walked Ellie and when we returned I had a phone call from my dentist. I called her back and she said she has now had the letter from William Harvey Hospital and the consultant won’t be dealing with me, it will be someone else  and she is unable to over ride him. She is going to try and send me to Deal but it may not be possible. I just wait and see.

We were invited to lunch at Lou and Rhys’s. Tariq was home for the weekend and Maddie and River came too. It was Ollie’s pre birthday lunch, with crackers as well!

I think the last picture was Tariq emptying the trifle bowl…he loves my trifle!

After lunch we all watched Spurs. A very unfortunate injury during the match.
