Friday 3rd May 2019

We took Ellie out and bumped into the couple who also have a Goldie called Max. Their daughter is one of the vets at White Mill where we go. Ellie and Max had great fun chasing each other around the field.

It then started to drizzle so we decided to go out for lunch and went back to the 5 Bells in Eastry. Again an unbelievable 2 course lunch for £6.50. We only have to go another three times to cover our joining fee for their “lunch club”.

Mal had bread and butter pudding for dessert and loved it! (I restrict desserts at home!)

I had a message from Rhys in the evening, a bit of a quiz as he does………”where am I?”

Yes, I recognized it, the Aspinall’s house at Howletts. Rhys asked what they were doing there and the girl said “It’s my dads house”. Of course he told her we have been going there for years. Huge house, lots of money and typically….no tip!

Thursday 2nd May 2019

I took Ellie for an early walk so we could get to the hospital X Ray department early, hopefully before the crowds! It was to have a full facial X Ray for the dentist. We went to QEQM, Margate, thinking that was easier to get to than Canterbury. We were lucky, only had to wait three quarters of an hour. Even better, as we put our car parking ticket into the machine to pay as we left, we were told the barrier was being repaired and so we didn’t have to pay!

This will be interesting for Sandwich, the bridge is going to be closed.

Of course we then went to vote for the local elections. Too many “fat cats” in Sandwich!

Mal went to the allotment in the afternoon, plenty of weeding for him to do.

In the evening I watched the programme on dementia, really interesting even though emotional. (“Our Dementia Choir”)

I took Ellie out early and then we had an appointment with the vet Trish. She is so good and knew that Ellie freaked in her surgery and so she always comes into the waiting room. She examined the scar and said all good but we have to watch in case she gets any Tumours. I am vigilant anyway because I brush her so often. At least this time of year her fur serves a purpose……

The blue tits are taking so much away for their nests.

Talking of birds, the seagulls are doing a grand job of messing up our conservatory windows. They are very busy building nests but thankfully not on our roof!

My sister’s best friend is Joann Froggatt’s Mother in law. My sister went to see her in a play a couple fo weeks back, they had complimentary tickets. She then messaged me yesterday to say Joanne was filming in Deal, she said a coincidence as we had been there last week. I then saw this. Filming in Deal.
