After Ellie’s walk, I went shopping at Westwood.

Mal chose to stay at home.  He doesn’t like shopping! Someone has to get the food and I did manage to find a new top and jeans.

It was still nice weather in the afternoon and so I worked on the back garden. Mal continued computer work.

My day at Demelza. I walked in and Heather was serving, Jack was busy and so was Linda so I was asked to sort someone out who wanted to look at wedding dresses and yes, I sold another one. That was a good start to the day seeing as I had hardly taken my coat off.

We had all children’s clothes, ladies shoes and boots half price and all soft toys 50p! Well, I thought at that price it was time to buy another couple for spares for Ellie! Well, four new ones actually even though her original ones are still in good condition!

Jack was really pleased I bought some as we had so many but we had to laugh because later one of our trustees arrived with 7 bags of donations which included two huge Ikea bags packed full of even more teddy bears!

After breakfast we took Ellie to Minnis Bay, it was so nice down there and I think Ellie’s favourite place as she runs around with all the other dogs. It’s a bit of a dogs paradise.

She also likes chasing the oyster catchers. It was so clear today you could even see Reculver in the distance.

Mal then went off to his allotment to do some planting.

In the afternoon we watched the Spurs game. Well done Spurs.

Another lovely day so a long walk for Ellie over the fields and then we went to Howletts. Mizi, the baby rhino was being kept indoors and Arina, the Siberian Tiger (my favourite) decided to sleep in the sun, right at the back of her enclosure so that we could hardly see her. But we did see the clouded leopard which is rarely seen. We also listened to the tiger talk again and discovered that there is soon to be a Sumatran tiger breeding programme. Howletts have a representative in Sumatra in the middle of talks at the moment. This is a critically endangered animal.

I do like the moloch gibbons, they have such expressive faces. Today the gorillas were having fun in the sun. They discovered that if they banged very loudly on their metal slide, they made a little boy, who was standing next to us, cry so they did it several times!

As usual, we had a lovely time even though the Kent ice cream parlour was shut . It was half term so we thought it may have been open!

We packed the car up and drove home. The hotel is only 10 miles from us but the price we pay is crazy, basically, the same as we’d pay for a good three course meal anywhere else but we also had bed and breakfast and I didn’t have to drive home.! This was a Living Social deal and cost us £69!! We couldn’t fault a thing.

Ellie just seems to settle where ever we go, she is a very adaptable dog, bless her.

We heard from Cyprus that it was only 3 degrees. Here it is 11 and lovely and sunny for our walk.

I actually think by the end of the evening we had quite a lot to drink but it is so rare that I am not driving.

We took Ellie for a walk in the sun again, it’s really nice after all the cold and wet.

I heard from David and Kenny and they have just reduced the price of their house by £45K. Everything about it is perfect they have now had enough of waiting and decided the house is too big for them and too much work. They have had it up for sale for about three years now. We will also reduce the price of ours on our next visit, we had already decided on that.

Mal went to the allotment in the afternoon and of course then it started raining!
