We had a long walk with Ellie and then went to Howlett’s Zoo. We both love it there and have season tickets and it is so close to where we live. This time we did manage to see the baby Black Rhino. He has always been indoors on our previous visits. The animals were just lazing around, chillin’!! It was a lovely warm and sunny day. We spend most of our time watching the beautiful Arina (Siberian Tiger) and the gorillas but today the gibbons were amusing us too;

We took Ellie out for her run and then went into Broadstairs. I have the feeling their Bank Holiday celebrations would have been better attended had there been yesterdays sunshine!

We didn’t stay too long. Mal was again eager to get to the allotment and I carried on doing the back garden. I’m not sure where Ellie is wandering in the garden but she keeps coming back with more dirt on her, she now has two black paws and black marks on her head. I have a feeling a previous occupant must have dumped coal from the log burner somewhere!

In the evening I watched the Spurs v Chelsea game. Well done Leicester but I have to say the game turned into a shambles and quite honestly a disgrace to football. Yes, I was hoping Spurs would win and it started off a good game but turned into a free for all.  A total disgrace.

We were woken up with the sun streaming in the bedroom window and the birds singing in the garden. I have to say this time of year is my favourite time whether this country or Cyprus.

A special treat, for no reason at all except it is Sunday…smoked salmon and scrambled egg,…. delicious. Then  out for a long walk around the orchards and Mal checked his Wingham allotment. Not much growing there but they are new allotments so probably need a year or two looking after. The cheetah at Wingham Wildlife Park does make me laugh. He jumps off his perch as we walk around the orchards and stands and stares at Ellie.

We met up with Lou, Rhys and the littlies for lunch at Badger’s Hill Farm. It’s nice there because the kids can pet the animals and they also do meals and snacks. We hadn’t realised you can take dogs there, we could have taken Ellie. It was so nice we ate lunch outside.

Malwent to the allotment late afternoon. There’s a lot to do this time of year as he will soon be starting his assessments for the exam board.
