Steve had to go to physio at the hospital and so we had a wander around Tewkesbury while he was in there. Tewkesbury Hospital is a new building and believe it or not, the whole of the car park was flooded and we had to find somewhere else to park. They know this is a flood area and yet they keep on building where it floods.
We had lunch and then drove to my sister Marion’s in High Wycombe. We drove on the motorway, not so much gear changing!
Marion cooked us a very good curry for dinner.

It was Steve’s birthday and we had hoped to take him and Shirley out for a meal but Steve hasn’t been out since his last stroke, 3 months ago and said he would like to go for a drive to Crickley Hill and take a picnic with us, so that was exactly what we did.
We drove around first to see all the floods and several places we went to, the water just completely covered the roads.

Breakfast with Torin and then a long soak in his bath which is doing my arm a lot of good with all this driving. Then on to Tewkesbury to visit Shirley and Steve. We managed to avoid the flooded roads which were all around Tewkesbury.
We arrived to a house full and a large spread of food, Steve’s “pre birthday”. All their family were there and a some friends. It was nice to see their two sons and daughter and all their families. We had a lovely afternoon/evening.

A view on the “talks”.
The sun was out and so we made the most of it and went along Ramsgate Sea Front and then to the garden centre and a little shopping on the way back.
