Saturday 3rd December 2011

4.30 awake again. I am beginning to wonder if the alarm clock clicks the time I set it on Thursday. Having said that I will have to be at that time tomorrow or Rosie won’t get walked.

So, Rosie and I went off to the beach. It is lovely early in the morning. I made sure Rosie had a good run and swim because she won’t be getting much of one tomorrow in the dark! As I have mentioned previously in spite of the government saying there would not be a curfew ‘the next time’, here we are again, all housebound tomorrow from 5am until 6pm! If you don’t comply? 100tl fine and three months in prison!!!!

On the way back from the beach I stopped to get some freshly baked bread from Atakara and Cyprus Today see link

For anyone who likes Laura Ashley see link. It’s such a good deal that I am going to have to check the website out!

Rifles are going off as I write this, I forgot, today is hunting day instead of census day tomorrow.

I watched the footie in the afternoon/evening. A few injuries in the Man U game and they should have scored more goals!

Friday 2nd December 2011

I was awake at 4.30! I guess my body was ready for another trip to the airport! I made a cup of tea but couldn’t get back to sleep so Rosie and I went off for a very early morning walk. A practice for Sunday (census day) when we are houseband from 5.00am!

I did go and get a bit of shopping, to make sure I don’t have to go out on Sunday, also the Cyprus Star see link.

I sorted out some Christmas decorations. We haven’t had them out of the box for years as, after the one year we did stay here for Christmas, there was a 12 hour power cut and we swore never again but this year we are going to be here! We have a very large storage cupboard under the swimming pool and I think our Christmas tree was put there but I can’t find it! Anyway, it seems really weird putting up Christmas decorations when the sun is streaming into the house and I have all the doors and windows open!

There is another good bargain for people buying Christmas presents, this one less than half price see link.

Mal rang in the evening and his meetings seem to be going well but as usual he is eating too much, huge breakfasts and three course dinners!

Early morning, sun coming up

Thursday 1st December 2011

Mal and I were up at 4.00am and I drove him to the airport. I took Rosie in the car and on the way back we stopped off at the beach.

The sun was shining by the time I came back and so I opened all the shutters and as I opened the front window shutters, I disturbed the two little lizards who had squashed in underneath. I guess they were keeping warm. I obviously woke them up.

I spent the day having a massive clear up and storing some of our summer clothes.

My laptop appears to be on its last legs. The fan is still extremely noisy and I have had two blue screens today! Not good.

Mal arrived at Warwick Uni in good time ready for his meeting the following day, with work waiting for him in preparation.
