Much better, we woke up at 6.00am! Maybe because we went to bed a lot later. Another sunny day!

I went and bought some fresh haddock and then popped into Tesco for some fresh vegetables. I wish I had gone that little bit further to the farm shop. It really irritated me that everything I picked up was on offer for buy three to get your money’s worth! Seeing as we are on the move tomorrow and for the next few days we won’t be here, it would have been pointless.

We have often spoken about getting a car to leave in the UK as each time we come, we hire one. BUT when we did leave a car here of course it was always in the wrong place which meant about £90 taxi fare from the airport to get to it . We have hired a VW at the moment which I like. Parked next to me in the car park was a VW with a notice in its window that it was for sale. Fate or what? It wasn’t as old as the number plate said but it had my initials on it, obviously the owner has the same initials!

Shall we buy it?!

Tuesday 1st November 2011

Well, I am quite stunned how warm it is for the UK in November. Again I woke at 4.00 and got up followed by Mal a short time afterwards. We really will have to sort out body clocks out. I woke and wondered why cars sounded so near because I thought I was in Cyprus!

I went out to buy a couple of things at Sainsburys and came out with more than a couple of things! Another bargain and it goes on until next Monday!! see link Looks as though our suitcases are going to be full on the way back.

Because of the offer in Sainsbury’s, I had already bought Mal a shirt and then he said he would come back with me and buy some more. I also popped into TKMax and as I was in the queue paying for something I asked Mal to go and see if they had strong Christmas wrapping paper. The trouble with a lot of it is, it is so thin that when you pack presents into the car, it starts ripping.  So, he found the wrapping paper and shouted across the store “Shall I try ripping it like you do?” He hates shopping and so will do anything to embarrass me, in the hopes I won’t take him again. He also told the cashier in Sainsburys as we were paying for his shirts, that now he had clothes to wear as he only owns the shirt he had on.

I started wrapping some presents later and then we were invited to Shirley and Steve’s for dinner which was really nice seeing them. Some of our parcels had been delivered to their house, one of which in spite of the correct item on the invoice, wrong item in the large parcel! Oh dear, that will have to go back now. Thanks Past Times!
