3rd March 2011

Happy Birthday to Scarlet and Jack – 2 today!

Mal and I went to the South for the day with Margaretha and some other ladies. Mal was just along for the entertainment! We stopped off at Super Home store and managed to get a lot of things that we needed that we couldn’t get in the North. Then on to Ikea, more shopping and lunch. Next Carrefour and we bought 3 Kg of pork!

On the way back, for the first time they stopped Margaretha and wanted to search the people carrier. Not a very thorough search and they let us through. Several of us had pork which they obviously didn’t find! Well hidden in  the shopping bags. Thank you Margaretha, we had a fun day out.

2nd March 2011

Sun all day long. At last Mal got the paint roller out and finished the lobby by the front door and under the terrace. Now we can put everything back under the terrace. I did a lot more weeding which seems a never ending job after all the rain.

I bought Cyprus Today see link

Today was the second general strike. We have heard far more people attended.

In the evening we watched the second episode of “The Promise” a four parter that I downloaded from UK TV. It is the best programme I have watched in  a long while.

1st March 2011

Sun all day in spite of the weather forecast saying there was a chance of rain….another day Mal put off the painting. The next three days says sun, sun, sun so he will have no excuse.

Ingrid, Sue, Tanya and I met up for lunch at Cafe Dukkan. It was so nice sitting outside and eating lunch. It wasn’t just lunch, we didn’t leave until about 4.30pm! Well, we had a lot to talk about! Very good company and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
