I took Rosie down to the beach and she had a good swim. When I spoke to Mal he has managed to break one of the taps and the highlight of his day was being able to go shopping…the rain had stopped.

I spent most of the day having a grand clean up. I did have time for a swim even though there was quite a cold wind.

I noticed that our Jacaranda is just starting to come into bloom and one of the cactus looks as though it is going to flower any day.

Up to the mountains with Rosie early in the morning. One of the footpaths down to Alsancak, I just can’t believe the amount of dumped rubbish. In fact one morning Mal and I saw a car pull up, just about to dump a lot more when he saw we were watching and decided to drive away instead. I guess he would have just returned later in the day. What a blight on this picturesque scenery. Something really should be done about it.

Jill came up in the morning and stayed for some lunch. It was nice to see her.

I heard from Mal and it was evidently pouring with rain all day.

I watched the Chelsea game, what was Gerard playing at?! Man U managed to win their game too. A tight end to the season.

1st May 2010

We were up early and took Rosie out. The three of us came back caked in mud, it had rained a lot in the night and the previous evening.

Mal then started packing, well, his version of it, and then I drove him to the airport as he has to go back to the UK for his marking work. I took Rosie in the car as well and she went a bit mental when Mal left with his case.

Mal’s plane was late arriving and he had to wait a long time for his luggage to appear, I know because he rang me and we had a very long conversation. He was beginning to think it had been taken off the plane in Antalya!

I watched the Man City game and they beat Villa 3-1.
