More sunbathing for Torin. I think he chose the right week, with all the rains here up to the day he arrived.

I think he has enjoyed his week chiiling. We have certainly enjoyed having him here but the time goes by too quickly.

In the evening we watched the Children in Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall.

22nd November 2009

Again we were woken by the hunters and so Mal and I took Rosie to the beach where she had a really good swim.

Torin made the most of the sun, so more sunbathing before he goes back to the rains, winds and floods in the UK.

In the evening we went for a meal at the Kervan Terrace. I had the Mexican Fajitas and they were delicious. Mal and Torin had the mixed kebab, although they said it was nice, they both wished they had chosen the fajitas but I did share some of mine with them. It’s a very cosy, friendly place in winter. We have been before in the summer when the views are right over the sea. Very reasonable prices, the Fajitas were 18 tl and the mixed kebab 19tl. The main topic of conversation was Spurs 9-1 win!!  Good for you Spurs.

Torin was back to normal and back out sunbathing after we had done some shopping. We went to Ileli and they had no Woody’s sausages much to Torin’s disgust! It was about 27 degrees, brilliant for November.

CTA in their efforts to cut costs, have axed free flights for their executives and board members, so says Cyprus Today! I should think so too as they are allegedly losing $3million a month!

In the afternoon we watched three Premier league games, of course much to Torin’s enjoyment Chelsea won again. In the middle of this we had a King Prawn barby.

20th November 2009

Oh how Torin suffered! About half an hour sunbathing and back to bed. He managed to eat a bit of dinner and had very little recollection of the previous night. Not much good if you can’t remember any of it!

He missed a really good days weather, so Mal and I made the most of it outside.

19th November 2009

Torin spent the day ‘chilling out’ and then in the evening we decided to try Zeki’s, the new bar in Lapta. It was really nice in there and they make you feel very much at home. We had a good meal and Hakan even showed us around the place. Torin did more ‘chilling out’ obviously not realising that the measures of shorts aren’t quite the same as in the UK. In fact he chilled so much that by the time we got him home (about 2.00am) he kept falling over! Could well be because this is an earthquake zone but Mal and I managed to stay upright!

The last picture is Torin convincing us that he hadn’t fallen over, he was looking at the stars!!

We have a huge bookcase and Mal and I decided to clean all the books following all the summer dust. Between us we found seven potter wasp nests amongst the books. I am sorry to say, they did not stay!

Torin’s plane was an hour and a quarter late leaving Stansted. We went  to collect him from Ercan. The  pilot must have made up time, as it arrived only half hour late. Of course once back home we sat and chatted until the early hours.
