The sun was out so we took Ellie for her first time on Minnis Bay beach since her op. We had to use the slopes rather than the stairs but she loved it.

A busy day at work.
Sunday 26th October 2025
Penny and I had such a late night…talking into the early hours that we didn’t get back until lunchtime and it was Mal’s and my wedding anniversary too! Lol.
What a good time we had.
Saturday 25th October 2025
Penny asked me to join her going to see Strictly Come Dancing, of course I jumped at the chance. Penny drove and we booked into a hotel very close to the studio.
We had to be there for 3 and it went on until 11 pm. A very long day but well worth it.

We went for a walk around Knees Wood. Ellie chose the route, we just follow her. She does like exploring there. Of course this was followed by a coffee at The Colonel’s Cafe. We sit outside and a couple of weeks ago a dog went to attack Ellie, the owner wasn’t keeping control and I had Ellie on the lead. That same dog went past us as we sat there. The only reason I knew was because Ellie started a very low growl. She obviously remembered!
It seems as though the colder weather has started, along with rain in the afternoon as Ellie has decided to use her bed at last.

Sadly Spurs lost their game!

A little shopping in Whitfield. Something has been eating my tomatoes while we have been away, so I have now only left one pot but still lots at the allotment. Apples and leeks came back today and the last of the beans. Also a spaghetti squash. That will be interesting, the first one we have had.

Eight years and it never gets any easier.

We drove home from Romney stopping for a cuppa at Truly Scrumptious and of course a quick look around the charity shops.
When we arrived home I had the loveliest card and present from Zoe in remembrance of Torin. She is so sweet and kind.
In the evening we went out for a “celebration of Torin’s life” – I try! We went to Soul Chef Kitchen in Deal and had a really nice meal. We thought he had closed down and then discovered he has moved to the Portland Arms.
The food was very tasty. We will definitely go again now we have rediscovered Dexter.
I think Ellie was relieved to be left at home.
