My first day volunteering at Pilgrim’s Hospice Charity shop. It was so nice to walk the 5 minutes round the corner instead of the hour I used to travel to get to Demelza.
I think a bit of a continuation from Saturday where Claire had been working in the shop until 4am on Sunday morning! So, still very busy. I have discovered out of all of the Pilgrims shops, this is the “high end” one, so we have a lot of designer goods. Certainly a different level of pricing and of course a lot of different methods of running the shop. By 5pm I was tired and my feet ached, not being used to standing all day! I think my head was about to explode with no official training, just “can you just do this” and trying to remember it all! It will get easier.
Mal had a cooked dinner ready for me when I arrived home.
