Mal and I walked Ellie and at the end we called in at Sandwich caravan park. Paula was interested in case she wanted to come with friends again. We hadn’t thought of it as we thought it was residential and camping. But they do have caravans to let.
I collected Paula and Jilly at their caravan. They wanted to go to Margate and Broadstairs. Margate first and it was very windy on the sea front. A walk along the sea front and then around the “hipster” shops. Most are shut Monday and Tuesday! We drove along the sea front to the Walpole Bay Hotel for a cuppa. It’s a rather old fashioned and unique hotel.
I then took them to Botany Bay but it was bucketing with rain by then so on to Broadstairs!
They both wanted “proper” seaside fish and chips. The weather wasn’t reliable enough to eat outside and so we went to The Mermaid Fish bar.
They have a very good menu and also has fresh skate which I love!! It was huge and I had to leave most of the batter and most of the chips but the skate was so good.
A walk around Broadstairs and then they wanted to go back to the caravan, exhausted!
