My sister and one of her daughters and her family were travelling back from their holiday in Belgium and as they do each year, came here for a BBQ. No problem 16 for a BBQ. Mal had it all under control and I thought I had all the extras under control. For the second BBQ I had all the onions ready to cook to go with the burgers and at the end of the evening they were still sitting in the kitchen uncooked! But at least we managed to remember everything else. Amongst the choice of 4 desserts I even managed “Nanny’s trifle” and an apple crumble. Well, there are so many apples around us, and at the allotment so it seemed silly not to use some of them. We also got through 3 jugs of Pimms along with the rest of the alcohol! Hopefully a good time was had by all and the kids loved playing in all of our garden, including climbing trees at the bottom.
