It was still really windy and I noticed that the clematis that covers one complete side of our garden has only a couple of flowers left on it! The rest have been blown away.
A nice walk but with a winter coat on (?!) Ellie just loves all the horses and has to go and say hello to them.
In the evening we went to see Fairport Convention at the Playhouse, Whitstable. For my birthday from Lou, Rhys and the family, I had a voucher for a taxi there and back and also a 3 course pre theatre dinner for Mal and I at Samphire restaurant where Sol happens to work! It’s a very popular restaurant and many celebrities dine there. We had a very good meal. Sol works here part time and goes to catering college. It must run in the family, my dad was a chef. Anyway, Sol cooked all our food for us and very good it was too. Bless him he even came into the restaurant to give his Nanny a big hug!
I think we had special treatment with lots of extras including Bucks Fizz and the best table right in the window.
As if this wasn’t enough for one evening, we then went on to see Fairport Convention. We never grow tired of them and they have such a huge repertoire because they have been going so long (since 1967!) I think like a good wine,they improve with age. For anyone who hasn’t a clue what they do, here is a sample of their very varied performances.
