I woke up with a bit of a headache (self inflicted from the night before) and swore I would never drink again. Ha ha. We went into breakfast right at the start at 8am. Three people were sitting at tables but just waiting. It seemed half the staff had called in sick and so there was just one poor guy trying to sort everything out on his own. By 8.30, the bain marie had food in it and we were shown where to “help ourselves” to coffee. Well, a touch of the Fawlty Towers again, which set us all off laughing again. You have to give them 10 out of 10 for entertainment! We finally ate , back to our room, packed and handed the key into reception. It seems no one was bothered whether we had enjoyed our stay or not.
We had a nice drive through the villages on the way back. Later I went to Westwood to get some shopping. I can’t seem to find any sandals that I like and I need a new pair.
In the evening we had booked a Groupon deal for a 5 course taster meal at the Minnis, Minnis Bay. The price of these deals are crazy. This one was £22 for two. It was a lot of fish, delicious but far too much!! The Minnis looks right out over the sea. It was good.
