We were awake at 5 am! Torin left early for the office and we saw Scarlet and Jack before they left for “Acorns”. Silly Grandad was extremely silly as usual. In fact they were a little excited when we left.
Mal has a weekend of exam meetings at Warwick Uni and so we drove to Kenilworth where we were booked into the Holiday Inn. We actually paid a little more than Mal’s allowance and had an executive room. Very nice it was too. But although it had a desk and office chair in it (good for the work Mal does in the evenings), there was no paper or writing utensils, which you even get in a Premier Inn!
We had a wander around Kenilworth and ate at a very nice place in the evening. You really are spoilt for choice as there are a lot of restaurants. I used to know Kenilworth well (about 42 years ago!)
