We had a really good nights sleep, showered and went down to breakfast. Mal and I both had the giggles as for the full breakfast it was £12 per person but of course, as we had been told ours was care of Travelodge. Of course we had the giggles because we had only paid £12 for our Travelodge room which this was all a replacement for! We packed our things up and on the road again to Cardiff. A lot of the Christmas presents I had ordered online were waiting for us and so I had to do a very quick wrapping job (for 9 of them) before Oscar came home from nursery. It was also Ollie’s 5th birthday, so all his birthday presents to wrap as well.
When all the boys were home we had a birthday tea for Ollie and Rhys did a BBQ. Of course we were in Wales and so it was raining(!) but that never puts Rhys off and he did so much food. After all that food Rhys had bought three enormous boxes of fireworks which were obviously display ones as they went on for a very long time. Of course the boys loved them, well Oscar as long as I held his hand but Josie didn’t want to come out as they were so loud.
The pleasure of a large family, all the children played pass the parcel and musical statues (with who could pull the funniest face when the music stopped.
We had a really lovely day and evening and were sad to leave.
That night was in the Travelodge in Cardiff but unfortunately everything was functioning in this one so that was where we had to spend the night!
