We were up early and Jill took us to Ledra Street and we walked over the border from there to collect our hire car. It was not very far but Mal was still struggling with his leg. We collected our hire car and headed off for a village where Rhys and I used to stay about 20 years ago. He wanted me to take photos. It has certainly changed in the last 20 years. There were housing estates everywhere and the hotel we used to stay in is now a restaurant. We remember just miles and miles of open fields. Progress I guess.
We then went to the next village where a dear friend of mine is buried. He had heart problems and I promised I would put flowers on his grave. It has taken a long time to go back there but we did. That was all very emotional.
From there we went along past Aphrodites Rock and decided to have an ice cream. A stupid idea as it was so windy that the ice creams were melting very quickly and blowing all over our clothes.
On to Paphos and we found our hotel easily, right by the harbour. We had only just arrived when Jackie rang and said they were having a BBQ at the villa they were at, so we drove over to Coral Bay.
