A swim in the morning and then David and Kenny came to pick us up and we also called for Res and off we went to Veni Vici. The pasta was excellent and I am pleased to say there was a constant stream of people both eating there and having take aways. By the time we left the number had reached 381 so who knows they may reach their 1000 meal target by 11pm tonight. We had a few drinks and a lovely afternoon and we all bought take aways to put in the freezer.

Down to the beach and someone really enjoyed themselves…….

We bought Cyprus Today, for what it was worth, certainly wasn’t worth the 4tl we paid!

We watched the football in the afternoon. I think it must have been a blip with DigiTurk last week. This week we had three matches, one after the other and what a good match the Hammers game was! Sam has certainly sorted the team out big time. A 3-1 win against Liverpool. A good game to watch.

We invited David and Kenny over for lunch. I don’t know how I did it but the whole meal had an Italian theme. Not intentional. But I think because I haven’t felt too well this week, I missed something off the starter, forget the salad with the main, which was just sitting in the kitchen and left the cream to go with desert in the fridge!! Hopeless. At  least I managed to eat the chilli and garlic in the main! I haven’t been able to do that all week.  My mouth is improving a little.

A walk in the ravine. I still had a sore throat and ulcers…ouch!

Not feeling that great but this made me laugh. It reminded me of Margaretha, bless her. The kindest person I know towards dogs.

We walked Ellie in the mountain and going past where the part carcass was a day or so ago, she walked on, never taking any notice so we presumed the foxes had removed it. On the way back she made a run for it down the mountain and would not come back no matter how much we screeched at her. In the end Mal had to climb down to grab her (he was not impressed as he was scratched to pieces)! That was it, on the lead and in disgrace.

Later we went to the pharmacy as although I had some bonjela for my mouth ulcers, my throat was sore, so the pharmacist recommended a spray which I am using. I think I must be coming out in sympathy with Rhys. We also bought some vegetable squash so I can make soup for lunch, much easier to eat.

I slept all afternoon, unlike me.

We had a different mountain walk, lots of new smells for Ellie.

We have put off a lot of the gardening while it has been so humid, time to get to grips with it, starting with Mal cutting the lantana hedge again! Then of course swimming.

I have ulcers in my mouth and I have to say I have never had ulcers until I stopped smoking. In fact I have one on the end of my tongue and so couldn’t eat dinner without tears streaming out of my eyes! I gave up trying in the end.

Up to the mountains and Ellie met up with Albert. I had to put her on the lead as we could smell a carcass very near to us. Why do they just dump these dead animals anywhere? I know she would have retrieved it for us…yuk!

Ken came round in the afternoon, he is going to do some of his book readings and then they will go on YouTube. I love Doodle & Scribbles adventures, they are great for kids.

Then swimming in the pool. Water that is  29 degrees still seems cold!
