Ellie was next to the bed and spent most of the night being sick, so I spent a lot of time with her. Our official appointment with Claire was 6pm but we called the vet to move it forward. They said yes, we could see Andy (one I really like.) first thing in the morning, so we took her along. He listened to her heart and lungs and said they were fine. He wanted to “Hospitalize” her for the door or we could bring her home and try and get her to eat and drink but far better if she has IV fluids and also the Paracetomol by IV. I did ask if he would do all of this for his dog and he said yes of course as this was obviously the after effects of the anaesthetic and anti biotics and otherwise her body was doing well. So, we left her.
Again rather than coming straight home we went to Spoons for Eggs Benedict for our breakfast as none of us had eaten.
Andy, the vet, phoned at 1.30 and said she was doing well, getting rehydrated and also eating. He would call us again at 4pm. That was a relief.
