Tuesday 3rd March 2026

Ellie had her 6 monthly check up at the vets. Mal took her for a walk over the fields in Eastry first while I waited in the car. All the daffodils were out, beautiful.

Sorrel said Ellie is doing well for her age but because her fur hasn’t grown back she could have an under active thyroid?? Also she said we could try her on a 2 week pain killer trial if we felt she needed it but we don’t feel she does at the moment. We will see. We also discussed the hydrotherapy we took her to and told her we (including Ellie) didn’t like so we may try one at Whitfield and she will do a referral for us. Maybe when I know what is happening with me!!

Then Ellie had her vaccinations and kennel cough. She has put on a little weight, will have to watch that.

In the afternoon we went to Kent and Canterbury Hospital for my blood test. They couldn’t find me listed and asked who it was for???????????????????????  Oh dear, I hope it ends up with the right person!

Monday 2nd March 2026

No rain and so we planned going to Minster but Sandwich was gridlocked, as it often is, so we went the opposite direction to Wingham orchards. It was quite a long walk for Ellie (and me!) I seem to have lost so much energy since not being well.

In the afternoon Mal started pressure washing the stones in the back garden. A start.

I had a phone call from Kent & Canterbury for an appointment for another blood test.

Sunday 1st March 2026

Really had to get out and get some fresh air, so we drove to Ellie’s favourite place, Knees Wood. It is still very muddy over there and it was drizzle but not too bad in the woods.

Tris came round in the afternoon and we spent most of the time watching football but was nice to see him. Spurs lost again!

I have to admit to being pleased we are no longer living in north Cyprus with everything that is going on at the moment.
