Kent Lavender Ladies day out at Hever Castle. The coach picked me up at 7.15 in Sandwich, the other girls were Birchington and Margate and so I had been on the coach an hour by the time we were all together! Then we stopped at Medway services for a comfort break. In short it took us 4 hours to get to Hever Castle! The problem being as well that major roads were shut.
Although the weather wasn’t marvellous, we had a really good day. Four of the rooms had been closed off ready for the Boleyn apartments, which should have been finished. The restaurant was not good and was really overpriced, it also drizzled a fair bit but we still had fun. We made the most of it!
I arrived home at 8pm but it really was a fun day.
