A bank holiday and so on Mal’s suggestion we took Ellie to Minnis Bay and went early. The wind was really cold. I know this because it blows up from this beach to Birchington High Street where I work and customers are always complaining about the bitter wind. Ellie loved it though with the wind in her ears. I am pleased Mal suggested it as his hands were frozen!
There was also a huge surfing club meet down there, obviously organised for the bank holiday.
We wore Ellie out and so we could leave her at home while we went to Margate Meltdown.
I didn’t think it was suitable to take her with us with the noise that all those motor bikes make. I have no idea how many came but they filled up the entire sea front. There were some scooters and Woody who is a volunteer with me at Cancer Research was there with his Lambretta which he is very proud of!
I know Torin would have loved this, seeing so many motor bikes, all in one place.
