Mal and I had booked to stay in an AirBandB out in the wilds, so that we could commemorate Torin’s Birthday. On the way we stopped at Hythe and had our lunch at Truly Scrumptious, we only have a snack but the food is always good. We then drove on to the AirBandB, we don’t think it had an address as it was stuck out in the wilds and we went past it twice before we phoned and found it.
A lovely cottage and a really nice huge garden with a carp pond and horses and ducks and geese at the bottom of the garden. It wasn’t the easiest place to get to Guestling/Fairlight, in fact we don’t think it was in either. So, as I could never get skate when we were this way before, Mal phoned a chippie with Just Eat and yes they had it. Mal waited at the top of the road in case they couldn’t find it and even the owners of the property when we later told them, were surprised that he found it! So we had our fish and a few drinks in the beautiful garden.
Torin would have loved it, a real back to nature as you could walk past the stables and you were on to miles of countryside and woods.
