We took Ellie out and just as we arrived home, the postman was at the door. He had a parcel that I posted to Margaretha, in North Cyprus, on 25th November, her Christmas present! According to the postman it was a “Customs return”. It looks as though the Post Office didn’t complete the correct form, probably something to do with Brexit in spite of the fact it was posted in November. The fact I put a return address on at least solved the problem of her missing present. BUT where has that parcel been??
I have heard from Margaretha and they are starting lockdown again from today until 10th February and the Police are at the roundabout by the motorway. David and Kenny are due to fly home for good tomorrow. I hope all goes well for them and the dogs, they have waited so long to return to Scotland.
It was Lou’s birthday and we happened to come across them having a long coastal walk in the afternoon. Well, I think we walked for over 2 hours but it was lovely to see them and chat. We walked past the yellow “Christmas House”. The man who owns it used to own The Mad Hatter in Margate. He is a little eccentric.
Lou and Rhys and family then went home for a take away and a cake Ollie had made. We came home with Ellie and I think we had walked so far, that and the fact she had gone crazy in the sea and she had a bit of a limp. Perhaps we over did it!
We watched more football in the evening. A shock loss for Man U, beaten by the bottom of the table.
