Previously we had noticed that one of the holiday companies had an offer where dogs go free and as it is not far and we wanted somewhere different after being locked down for so long, we booked! Today was the day we left for Marlie at Romney Marsh. We booked a Gold Plus caravan and it was still very cheap (£95 for 4 nights) . Because of the cold weather we made sure we had one with double glazing and central heating.
We planned to have our lunch at the Warren Inn, as we knew they have a nice garden there. We looked at the website and yes, food outside. When we arrived things had changed and they decided not to open! Unsure of where else was open and trading, we went to Sainsburys bought a couple of sandwiches and went to St. Mary’s Bay to eat them. (Parking £1.20 an hour) Ellie loved it BUT it was freezing!
We booked into the caravan and it was really nice, a huge double bedroom with en suite plus another. Plenty of space and a fridge freezer from floor to ceiling! Very impressed. We unpacked and then walked to discover there was a gate from the caravan park straight on to a wildlife park. Ideal for us.
In the evening, not knowing what food outlets would be open, we opted to eat our food from the clubhouse , outside. The food wasn’t that good and we froze. Mal asked for Guiness and there won’t be any until Wednesday. Nor would their ordering app work!
Back to a very warm and cosy caravan!!
