The opposite way along the river today with Ellie.

We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful town.

In the afternoon I went into Deal to receive my second jab. I popped into Aldi first and let an elderly lady in the queue go before me as she only had a litre of milk. Then behind me was a man on a mobility scooter who was only buying 2 packets of sweets, so I let him go too. The first lady said “If you keep doing that then you won’t be out of here until 5.30.” I told her I had to be as I was having my second jab at 3. Well, the gentleman then told me I shouldn’t be having it, the vaccination was useless, why did they have screens up, why did we all have to wear masks. I began to wish I had kept my mouth shut. As he left the till he shouted out to me “Don’t do it”!! Everyone looked!

However I did do it. This time my arm bled which I wasn’t expecting and went over my T shirt. The pharmacist apologised and then gave me a dressing.

On the way back to the car I called into the Dogs Trust charity shop as they were selling all their own merchandise for half price. A new bowl for Ellie and a few other bits. I went to the till and they told me they no longer accept cash! I am not using my bank card for a couple of pounds and between my bank/petrol station and Amazon I have had three major errors on my account so I will fight against a cashless society! I walked out and left the things on the counter.
