Torin’s Birthday
Each year on Torin’s birthday we go to The Crispin for a meal and a toast to Torin.
We stopped at the cemetery on the way. I had left flowers in the morning and Lou and Rhys put more there.
Our meal this year was much more complicated because of all the precautions. It started off, the fact we were a table of 7, one more than the recommended maximum of 6. Terry very kindly let us have the snug room to ourselves. Of course all the screens were up at the bar, disposable menus etc etc. They have only been open a couple of days and it really was all very strange.
I have to be honest that the food wasn’t as good as usual but these really are strange times for landlords to try and cope with.
A sad day.
