The sun rising wakes me in the morning. Ellie and I went out for a very early walk whilst most of Sandwich was sleeping. A lovely time of the day.
We refreshed the flowers at Torin’s grave and one of the rose bushes I planted has burst into bloom.
From there we walked along the river. Sleeping Sandwich…………..
On the way home my phone alarm went off to remind me we were driving to Letchworth Hall Hotel today, our half way stop on our way to Yorkshire for my big birthday celebration with Lou, Rhys, Ollie, Oscar and Josie. Of course, all cancelled but we are going to have an even better holiday when we are able to book things again.
As shops opened at 8am, I went shopping….amazing…..no queues so that was all very quick. No queue at Wilko either so I went in to buy some wine bottle corks. Easiest shop I have had since all this madness began!
Sadly people seem to have gone crazy today and friends tell me the beaches were packed and there were traffic jams getting into Margate. What is going on ? Has lockdown finished? I have a feeling Dominic Cummings has a lot to answer for. Mal and I went to the allotment to weed and water. It definitely needed the water.
