For a long while Whitstable has been “the place to be” and every weekend you will find it full of DFL’s (Dahn from London) hipsters. Margate has had its turn too. That’s OK as long as you keep to the trendy streets and don’t wander into Cliftonville. Now the trend is moving to Deal which is now the place to buy property and be seen for the weekend. Interesting!
Mal took Ellie early to avoid the heat and I went shopping. After a real battle with Debenhams over two damaged tops ordered online, I went to Resolver. It is now sorted and I have closed the case. They “do not do compensation” but would make “a gesture of goodwill” if I closed the case. I told them until I knew what this was I wasn’t closing it. The reply came back they would send me a £20 gift voucher (and an apology) which they did. Case closed. So, this morning I put it towards a new pair of sandals! I suggest if other people have complaints they use Resolver. The problem is nowadays that no one seem to bother and the companies get away with it, time and time again.
We spent the afternoon in the garden.
