Mal and I took Ellie out. Not quite so sunny today but fine as long as it doesn’t rain.

We had our lunch out at Chom Chom, Canterbury. (How many profiteroles for dessert Paula??!!)

The owner came out to talk to us after we had eaten, she is so lovely and always remembers us.

We listened to Radio 2 in the afternoon and coincidentally Steve Wright interviewed the BeeGees tribute band (“You win again”)who are touring and were going to appear in Margate that night. Paula and I had tickets to go and very good it was too. Can you spot us in the selfie?

We heard the life story of the BeeGees, interesting with a few bits I never knew before. Evidently Barry is still keeping their music alive now performing with his son and Maurice’s daughter.

It was such a lovely day and so Mal and I took Ellie to Stone Bay. Paula didn’t want to come. Ellie loved it with the wind in her ears.

After lunch we went to the cinema in Sandwich to watch Downton Abbey. The film as expected was excellent. with Maggie Smith having some great one liners. Sandwich Empire cinema in itself was an experience. It’s very old, built in 1937 and still has the old ticket machines etc.

The film was followed by a drink in the Crispin.

We then went to Ossie’s for fish and chips.

We took Ellie out and then we went into Deal to collect my boot which was being repaired. They are Hotter boots and Hotter just said they don’t repair them and it was the zip. Anyway, Timpsons managed to repair it…….at a cost! When I said it was expensive, he knocked £2 off!

I bought a few Christmas decs and a really pretty candle holder.

In the afternoon Paula and I went to Birchington, around the shops, the butchers and then for a coffee.
