We took the dogs out for a walk along the river.

We had to make sure that Roddie came back but when I called he came running so fast! We think he is going a little deaf.

I managed to do some tidying up in the garden and Mal took out the roots of the four huge sunflowers I had in the garden, a lot of soil came with them! I also potted on some plants into my new pots. I will have to go and buy a couple more while their sale is on.

I went into Deal to the hairdressers. I’m very happy with where I go now and the owner Katie does my hair. It’s a very relaxing experience , with a head massage but the girl pressured by my cheek and it is where my mouth nerve hurts and my pain killers were wearing off! A shame as I always enjoy that.

I had intentions for sorting out plants in the garden but ended up having a lazy afternoon.

They are having bad weather in Cyprus again, storms and heavy rains.

I went to see Ann, my counsellor. She really is so good .

On the way home I stopped at Preston Garden Centre as I bought some outside pots there last year and they have such a good selection. Lucky me they were half price! I bought two but intend to return for more.

What a beautiful field I drove past on the way home.

Meanwhile Lou, Rhys and the littlies are having good weather and a good time in Bigbury.

In the evening we went to see Albert Lee in Deal. No surprise, it was a sell out. He is extremely talented guitarist and has played with Eric Clapton, The Crickets, Everly Brothers and many more.

My day at Demelza. It rained all day in Canterbury but I was very pleased to receive photos from Lou and Rhys in the SUN!! I am so pleased they are having a good time. In spite of the weather we did quite well in the shop.

We decided that today would be the day to celebrate Torin’s life, the first opportunity we have had to be together since Thursday. It was nice to see Rhys on a Sunday for a change but he was working until 5am!

First we went to the cemetery and Lou and Rhys put some flowers there and then we went on to The Crispin for lunch.

We all had a Guiness to toast Torin, it is a Daniel family tradition!
Back to our house for another drink and then Lou, Rhys and the kiddlies left to go home. They left their dog Roddie with us as they were off on holiday the following day.

Ollie, Oscar and Josie came round for the day. We all took Ellie out, to the park.

I had to go shopping and Mal took the kids to the allotment so they could weed and plant broad beans in their patches.

After lunch it was so nice we walked to the other park.

Lou came to collect them later.

A lovely hotel with great food and staff .

We left the hotel at 9am, having decided the success of these coach holidays depends a lot on the driver and ours was useless! Ten hours for the journey back, if only they wouldn’t keep stopping! Our driver left us at the interchange and it was the first time that he stood at the bottom of the coach steps to help people off and there were a few who struggled with the steps. Obviously waiting for his tips!

Lou was waiting for us at our drop off, we collected Ellie and the car and drove home.
