Lou and Rhys had tickets for Ed Sheeran and so the littlies came to stay with us. In the morning they enjoyed the park, while the dogs played with other dogs. We then went to the allotment and Grandad put them to work! They picked loads of strawberries and also they helped putting  tree bark on the paths, watering and weeding.

In the evening we walked down to the river and went to Papa’s Fish and Chips. We ate those by the river and then went to the Crispin for a drink.

I was up early and collected Ollie, Oscar and Josie to take them to school. I then went back home, not one of my better days. Some days just aren’t as good. I went back to collect the littlies at the finish of school. We played in the garden. I bought a table tennis set from Demelza, so they had a go at that.

In the evening Rhys came over for a chat which was nice. He also brought me an Orange Wonder hot pepper plant.  I haven’t had one of those before. I had to put some netting over my strawberries as the birds have now started eating them!  I seem to have got rid of the cats messing in the garden by putting tea bags and coffee grounds down and now the birds come! You can’t win.

Mal and I went for a walk along the river with Ellie. The later you go the longer the walk takes as so many people stop to talk! No bad thing though.

Mal carried on putting Cuprinol on the fence and shed and back gate. Meanwhile I went out for lunch with the Red Hatters.

It was lovely to see the girls, we seem to spend the whole lunchtime laughing.  They really make me feel good each time we meet up.

I took Ellie out for a long walk along the river and then went shopping and had my car washed. The birds have been eating the strawberries in the garden and then messed all over my car.  I will have to cover the strawberries! I also had to buy more Cuprinol.

Mal painted fences. I have a feeling they have never been painted before, they are soaking the Cuprinol up.

He popped around to the allotment as strawberries needed picking. Lots of strawberries for dinner!

A lovely sunny day but I was in the shop at Demelza. We had another good day. Evidently now we have a check sheet for any £20 notes we are given as the pens don’t work on them anymore. Demelza overall have taken a lot of fake ones.  Also we had a designer jumper, we were selling for £65, taken from our shop some time last week. Karma! Stealing from a Children’s Hospice Charity shop?!

Linda was at home still recovering from her operation.  I have a feeling our trade has picked up as “Spoons” has reopened and we have always had a lot of footfall from there.

When we went to Devon for Tariq’s passing out, we had two superb AirBandB’s, one on the way there and one on the way home. But we had complaints about the caravan we all stayed in. The beds weren’t made up, there was no breakfast and the duvets were not clean, Josie fell when the outside hand rail collapsed etc etc. Rather than give them a bad review on AirBandB, I sent a list of all the things that were wrong, to inform the owner. I didn’t want to complain in public and spoil their AirBandB reputation. (She lived a long way from the caravan.) Her reply to me was extremely rude and arrogant. In fact I couldn’t believe it and so posted all the correspondence on AirBandB and suggested people made their own minds up but Mal wouldn’t let it rest there. We didn’t want any money back but Mal then asked her for £25. Again she was extremely rude. So Mal said fine, we had paid by credit card and if AirBandB didn’t want to sort it, then Barclaycard would. They then put all the money in contention (jointly and severely liable) .

Today we heard from AirBandB apologising profusely and £25 would be refunded! Had the owner just said sorry, we wouldn’t even have asked for any money back! People can be so silly. I am also certain she will be suspended at least from AirBandB.

Le Weekend continues and Tris and Violet came from London to join us. We took Ellie but it was just so busy with so many people, loud music and so many food smells everywhere that I decided to take her home lunch time. There were so many dogs there and a lot of them were getting stressed out. She also had a long day the previous day. She seemed relieved when I dropped her off at home. I then went back to join the others and we had some nice French food for lunch.

Les Triskelles were playing again, they really were very good.

There was also another new band there, Rudy Warman and The Heavy Weather. There was a severely disabled guy totally enjoying their music from his adapted wheelchair, trying to move with the music and making noises to join in with them. Bless the band, they gave him their CD free. There are some kind people around.
